Friendly, fun and accessible 3km challenge!
Walk, jog, wheel (chair) or run :)
We're all finished for 2022 and thank you to everyone who walked, jogged, wheeled or ran their way around our 3k challenges :)
Scroll on to take a look at what Active Dales was all about!
We have four parks across Derbyshire, where we are setting up 3k routes for you to follow. Walk, jog, wheel or run your way around :)
And if you can't make the day, then you can complete in your own time and make up your own route!
Check out some event photos here to see what you'll be getting up top!
Set off times are from 10:00-10:30, so pick the time that suits you and get booked on!
You'll be met by the friendly Active Dales team, and they'll help you get ready to go.
You can visit our Active Advice page, our social media, or just get in touch for active advice, support and encouragement :)
We ask for a donation of £2.50, and all of your entry fee* goes to the park :)
We've even had fantastic, specially designed challenge medals made just for you!
Ready to collect at the end of the event (or posted out if you choose to join us virtually)
*minus any transactional fees.
Join the Active Dales team on event day for a walk, jog, wheel or run around our 3km courses.
Simply pick your start time and make a £2.50 donation (which goes to your local park) and at the end, you'll be greeted with music, smiles, water and a medal!
We don't time the event, but if you would like to record your time, you sure can. We've even set up a leaderboard that you can submit results through to for a great record of your achievement. You can find details on this here
If you can't make the day, then you can choose to join us in your own time, copy our route (or make up your own 3k.)
If you're doing the challenge in your own time, you don't need to record or send us results, but you're welcome to. You can find details on this here. We will be posting out your medal after the Wirksworth event on the 2nd of April.
The courses we've planned out are two laps of a 1.5km route, so 3km in total :)
The courses will be clearly laid out, so you wont get lost (and we have volunteers around the course to point you in the right direction!)
Read articles, join in our social media chats, bad jokes, and inspirational stories.
We're here to help more people get active, so we're always keen to listen to your ideas, comments and suggestions :-)
We've added a whole handy guide to help you with any questions you may have.
A bit of fitness tech can help you find inspiration, motivation and record your achievements... so we think it's great 99% of the time (except in the terminator films... in that case it's scary!)
Our aim is to provide a broad range of opportunities for people living and working in the Derbyshire Dales, to become more active, improve health and wellbeing, and improve quality of life.
