Record your walk, jog, wheel or run

We don't mind if you do, or don't record your 3km challenge, but if you would like to, then read on for how to submit your results :)

How to submit results:

When you visit the this link you can either;

  1. Choose ‘evidence based result’. You will then need to provide a link of your activity from the fitness device that you have used (Strava, Garmin, Fitbit, Endomondo etc.) You can also upload a picture of your run (if your technology is not having a good day!)
  2. Or choose ‘honesty result’ … perfect if you haven't used an app etc to record your time.

RESULT TIPS

  • RUN THE DISTANCE-make sure you do the 3k :) 
  • When entering your time, it is hour first, then minute, then seconds. So 45 minutes and 10 seconds would be 00:45:10,  1 hour and 10 minutes 15 seconds would be 01:10:15 :) 

Record your activities

The Active Dales event has it's own training page here. When you sign up, the system will ask you to connect your fitness app. This allows you to share your activity routes, plus any activities you've taken part in (in the lead up to the event.)

This helps your community by sharing and encouraging others to join in, add likes, say well done, or even share your route, so others can find somewhere new to get active!

Nope it is absolutely not :) The 3km challenges are set up for people to walk, jog, wheel or run their way around. You can record your result and share it with us. We encourage people to record their activity, so you've got a record of your achievement (but you don't have to.)


We don't have an age limit, as you can choose to walk, jog, wheel or run your way around. So, just approach the 3km challenge as you wish, and if you're bringing a child along, we do ask that they are accompanied at all times.


No you don't :) We will be sending the medals out automatically to everyone that signs up to do it in their own time :) We will be posting out the first batch of medals after the Wirksworth event, on the 2nd April.


Nope, sorry :( You will see us encouraging people to 'wheel' the event, but for this, we refer to wheelchairs, pushchairs, or other walking aids. Some routes are more suitable than others, so if in doubt please get in touch.
