Fitmums & Friends is passionate about supporting people to become more active and feel more connected. We provide a range of running, walking, cycling, buggy and junior athletics sessions across Hull and Yorkshire to help improve fitness and provide an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people. We also run free programmes to support people through specific lifestyle and health challenges, such as the menopause and bereavement. Our ethos is to support everyone no matter what their ability and to do so in a friendly and nurturing environment. Fitmums & Friends is a registered charity in England and Wales No 1173919 and is affiliated to England Athletics.
Headscarf Pride is the very successful and only social media dedicated to the Headscarf Revolutionaries and the Triple Trawler Disaster of 1968. After the loss of three Hull trawlers and 58 men, Lillian Bilocca, Yvonne Blenkinsop, Mary Denness and Christine Jensen MBE led the Hessle Road Women’s committee, campaigned for better safety on ships, and saved countless lives with the greatest act of civil disobedience of the 20th century.
